We begin our journey with a visit to a century-old olive press, where the 4th-generation owners walk us through the entire process of olive oil making — from the branch to the bottle. We taste eight varieties of cold-pressed olive oil, each naturally infused with unique flavors.

Lavender tea, the traditional “atom” dessert, and fresh seasonal fruits are served to recharge us for the next leg of our Hidden Village discovery route.

Through pine forests and village houses to the Etrim Plain
Our journey continues through quaint village houses and lush pine forests, leading us to the scenic Etrim Plain. We take a break to enjoy a panoramic view of the valley and snap some unforgettable photos.

Famous for its handmade rugs and kilims, Etrim welcomes us with a visit to a family-run carpet workshop. We are greeted by Master Engin, a local legend in the world of weaving, with chilled homemade ayran and delicious gözleme. He guides us through every step of the weaving process — from knotting techniques to natural dyes and fine silk rugs.

Walking barefoot on handwoven carpets offers a unique and grounding experience, helping us release negative energy and soak in positivity as we continue our Hidden Village exploration.

Known locally as Garaova, the region is home to boutique wineries that focus on organic viticulture. We experience small-batch wines made from wild-yeast fermentation, tasting their distinct, unfiltered character.

Tuscan breeze in Bodrum vineyards

From Garaova, we head toward the Mumcular region, crossing the dam road to reach our next tasting stop: the Karnas Vineyards. Set in an atmosphere reminiscent of Tuscany, these vineyards stretch over 20 hectares.

After a short vineyard walk and a briefing, we enjoy a tasting of award-winning wines. The highlight of the day. Sipping our glasses during sunset, surrounded by the serene beauty of the vines — the perfect ending to our journey.

With hearts full and spirits lifted, we return to our hotel, carrying the joy of the day’s unforgettable experiences.
